Minna Jeffery is a translator (Finnish to English), dramaturg and researcher based in London and Oxford. All three practices centre around a lifelong interest in words and the movement of words - be that from one language to another or from page to stage - and the ethics and implications of those lexical journeys.

She studied English Literature at the University of York before completing an MA in Text and Performance at Birkbeck and RADA. In 2023, she completed a PhD by Practice as Research in Drama at the University of Kent, with a thesis titled: “Strategies for Feminist Theatre Translation: Minna Canth’s The Worker’s Wife from Finnish to English.” From 2023-2025, Minna held the Rosemary Pountney Junior Research Fellowship in British and European Drama at St Anne’s College, University of Oxford. Minna is currently funded by the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation to complete work on her forthcoming book.

Alongside these pursuits, Minna is a keen choral singer, spending the last two years as an alto Graduate Choral Assistant at Keble College, Oxford, and now singing across London.
